T minus 3 days and counting

Deb and I are starting to believe that this trip is real. Three days and counting to liftoff. We have sufficient memory for all our cameras, 24 gig CF, 32 gig SD, 16 gig ProDuo, 5 RW for camcorder. I am also bringing black and white film for certain images, maybe Angkor Wat, temple structures and street scenes. We fly from LA to through Tokyo on American Airlines. Then we transfer to Vietnam Airlines to Ho Chi Minh (Saigon). We will be picked up by the hotel at the airport at 01:00. travel time = 23.5 hours. We will stay in Saigon from 12.25.08 - 12.29.08, with a side trip to Mekong Delta overnight. Then we will go to Siem Reap, Cambodia from 12.29.08 - 01.01.09. We will then possible go to Laos for a night and 2 days...then to Hanoi in the north of Vietnam for a few days with side trips to Halong Bay for a night and day, maybe Sapa or China. Then we will head to Central Vietnam and fly to Danang and go to Hoi An. After this we will then fly back to HCM for a night and day. Then we will go back to Tokyo for three days and return to LA.
